Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Some state laws, like Washington's My Health My Data Act, call information about your health "consumer health data". This page explains what consumer health data FuzzMed has, why, where it comes from, who gets it and how to use your rights.
Version 1.1. Effective October 6, 2026.
This page goes with our Privacy Policy. FuzzMed gives information, not medical advice. FuzzMed is only for adults 18 and over.
What consumer health data we collect, and why
- Your medicines. The names you type in, and any other name for the same medicine. Why: to show your medicine list back to you.
- Fill dates and days of supply. Why: to show you when a medicine was last filled.
- Plan approval details. Whether your plan has to approve a medicine first, the status you pick, and the dates you type in. Why: to show you where an approval stands and the Medicare dates that follow from it.
- The fact that you use FuzzMed. Having an account, or choosing "Patient" on the early list, may say something about your health. Why: to run your account, or to email you about FuzzMed if you joined the list.
We use this data only to show it back to you, to show it to family members you invite, and to send reminders you turn on. We never sell it.
Where it comes from
- You. Today, all of it comes from what you type in.
- Records you choose to connect. Later, we plan to let you connect records from places like your drug plan. We will ask you first. Nothing comes in unless you say yes.
What we share
With family members you invite: your medicine list, fill dates, approval details and visit sheet. We ask for your OK each time you make an invitation.
With companies that run our service for us: all of the data above is stored by our hosting provider. Our email provider gets only your email address and name, to send our emails. It does not get your medicine list.
Who gets it
- Family members you invite, after they accept and sign in with their own account.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the data for us.
- Our email provider, which sends our emails.
FuzzMed has no affiliates. No one else gets your consumer health data. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for ads.
Your rights, and how to use them
You have the right to:
- Know if we collect or share your consumer health data, and see it.
- Get a list of everyone we have shared it with.
- Take back your OK to collect or share it.
- Have it deleted.
The fastest way is in the app. Sign in and open My account. There you can download everything we hold, stop all family sharing in one step, or delete your account. Your Family screen shows everyone who can see your information.
You can also email privacy@fuzzmed.com. We may ask you to prove the account is yours. We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we will take no more than 45 more days. When we delete your data, we also tell the companies that run our service for us to delete it.
If we say no
If we do not do what you asked, we will tell you why. You can appeal by emailing privacy@fuzzmed.com with the word "Appeal" in the subject. We will answer your appeal in writing within 45 days and explain what we decided. If we still say no, you can file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office.
