Privacy Policy
This policy covers the FuzzMed website, the early list and the test version of the app. It tells you what we collect, why, who sees it and what you can do about it.
Version 1.1. Effective October 6, 2026.
FuzzMed gives information, not medical advice. FuzzMed is only for adults 18 and over.
What we collect
If you make an account, we keep:
- Your first name and your email address.
- Your password, in a scrambled form that cannot be turned back into your password.
- The medicines, fill dates, approval dates and approval statuses you type in. For example, "waiting on my plan" or "my plan said no".
- The names of family members you invite, and who can see your information.
- A record of what you agreed to, and when. We call this the consent record.
The app is a test version and is open only when we invite testers. Please use sample information only, not your real medicines.
Our server logs record your IP address to keep the site working and to stop abuse. A cookie keeps you signed in for up to 12 hours. It is not used for tracking.
Email reminders are off unless you turn them on in My account. If you do, we keep that choice and when you made it, and we email you a link to confirm the address first. Our email provider sends the reminders. A reminder says only that a date is coming up and when. It never names a medicine, a plan or an approval. Every reminder has a link to stop them, and you can turn them off in My account at any time.
Where it comes from
Today, everything in your account comes from you. You type it in.
Later, we plan to let you connect records from places like your drug plan. We will only get those records if you choose to connect them, and we will ask you first.
Why we use it
We use your information only to:
- Show it back to you on your screens and your visit sheet.
- Show it to family members you invite.
- Send you email reminders, but only if you turn them on.
We do not use it for anything else. We do not use it to train any computer model.
Who we share it with
- Family members you invite. They can see your medicine list, approvals and visit sheet after they sign in with their own account. They cannot change anything. We ask you before anything is shared, each time you make an invitation.
- Companies that run our service for us. Our hosting provider stores your information for us. Our email provider sends our emails. They may use it only to do that work for us.
No one else. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. This site has no ads, no tracking tools and no analytics tools.
What we never collect
- Your passwords for other websites, like your insurance or bank website.
- Your Social Security number.
- Your driver's license number.
- Your bank account or card numbers.
Please do not type these into FuzzMed.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information until you delete your account. When you delete it in the app, your account and everything in it are deleted right away. This includes your consent record. Backup copies are gone within 6 months.
How we protect it
- Your information is encrypted while it travels between your device and FuzzMed.
- Your information is stored with our hosting provider in the United States.
- Your password is kept only in a scrambled form.
- Only you, and family members you invite, can see your information in the app.
Your choices
Sign in and open My account to:
- See your information on your screens.
- Download a copy of everything we hold for your account.
- Fix anything that is wrong. Change or remove any medicine or approval.
- Delete your account and everything in it.
- Take back your OK. Stop all family sharing in one step. To take back your OK for us to keep your information, delete your account.
- Stop family access. Remove one family member, or cancel an invitation, on the Family screen.
- Stop reminders at any time, in My account or with the link in any reminder email.

Is FuzzMed covered by HIPAA?
No. FuzzMed is not a HIPAA covered entity. That federal law covers doctors, hospitals and health plans, and FuzzMed is none of those. This means HIPAA does not protect information once you put it in FuzzMed. We protect it the way this policy says.
Adults only
FuzzMed is only for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a child has made an account, email us and we will delete it.
The early list
If you join the early list, we keep your name, your email address, whether you are a patient, a family member or a clinician, the date you joined. The early list form does not ask about your health, your medicines or your insurance.
If you choose "Patient", that tells us you are a patient. Some state laws treat that as health information. We treat it as private: we use it only to email you about FuzzMed, we never sell or share it, and we delete it when you ask.
We use it only to email you about FuzzMed.
FuzzMed, Inc. and our hosting provider, which stores it for us, are the only ones who handle it.
Use the remove form at any time. Your details are deleted from our list right away. Backup copies are gone within 6 months.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If we want to use your information in a new way, we will ask you first. We will not do it unless you say yes.
